History of formation

UKRAINIAN CARGO LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY, LLC

The company was established in June 2017 to provide services for the mixing of goods by rail, as well as the repair of railway transport.

The impetus for the establishment of the company was a significant shortage of locomotive traction on the Ukrainian railway, which clearly indicated the need to allow private carriers on the main railway routes of Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine started implementing this initiative as part of a pilot project at the end of 2019.

The wide UCLC’s locopark is great advantage of our company on a forming railway freight transportation market of Ukraine. It includes both mainline and shunting locomotives.

This factor allows “Ukrainian Freight Locomotive Company” to provide its customers with a full range of possible logistics services which includes:

Execution of shunting work

Placing & removing of cars along the frontlines of cargo loading

Execution of transfer and mainline work with the prospect of delivery of goods directly from the manufacturer to the final consumer

Execution of export and shunting work with the prospect of delivery of goods directly from the manufacturer to the final consumer.

This approach to the provision of logistics services can significantly reduce their final cost for the shipper. In addition to the movement of goods by rail, we provide our customers with additional services, including:

Rental of mainline and shunting locomotives together with crews of drivers;
Purchase and sale of railway equipment;
Repair and modernization of rolling stock of locomotive fleets;
Repair of individual nodes and units
Supply of replacement parts for locomotives;
Warranty and post-warranty service of railway transport.
